    3. In my family, there was a Sarah E Wakefield, born LCT in 1836. She was the daughter of ?? Wakefield and Elizabeth Pigg Wakefield McKinney, my great grandmother. Sarah married Gaylon M Sawyers in 1855, LCT. He was the son of George W Sawyers and Rebecca Cunningham. The Sawyers and McKinneys lived neighbors in 1850 and appear on the census near each other. Gaylon and Sarah moved to TX and lived in Hill Co. When my grandparents, John J (J J) McKinney and wife, Eliza Jane (Jennie) Pledger, moved from Hill Co., to Palo Pinto Co., about 1886, Gaylon bought their land. ( Sarah was 1/2 sister of J J) The Sawyers eldest child, Elizabeth A Sawyers. born 1857, Ellis Co., TX married Will Taylor McAfee, in 1876. After Elizabeth was born, Gaylon and Sarah moved to Hill Co.
