    3. Cindy, Are you aware of any SAWYERS and WAKEFIELD connections among your WARRENS that went to Illinois? Also PIGG? My great granmother was Elizabeth Pigg, daughter of John Pigg and Delilah CHITWOOD. Her family moved to Lincoln Co., TN from VA about 1813. The records show that John Pigg was buying land in LCT by 1811, but Elizabeth was born in VA in 1813. Their next child, Nancy, was born in 1918 in LCT. Elizabeth married a Wakefield and they had three children: Charles, born 1831, in TN; Delia Ann, born 1834, NC; and Sarah E. born 1836, in LCT. Mr Wakefield was born in Illinois. I have nothing further on Charles. It has been speculated that he might have died in the Civil War. Delia Ann married Hiram Fuller FREEMAN, Nov 20, 1853, LCT. They divorced and she married George J MCNEESE, August 24, 1861, LCT. Delia was a school teacher and she died about 1869. Sarah E Wakefield married Gaylon M Sawyers, Jan 7, 1855, in LCT. The Sawyers and McKinneys lived neighbors on the 1850 census record. Elizabeth Pigg Wakefield married William MCKINNEY, 1840, in LCT. I don't know when or where Elizbeth and Mr Wakefield married. It has been suggested that Elizabeth moved to IL with some from LCT that were moving there. However, she could have married in LCT. I don't know the IL connection, or what happened to the Wakefield. I will appreciate any and all help!
