Joy: When seeing references to "Black" heritage, keep in mind that Native Americans of every "tribe" were referred to as Black in the 1880 Census. Native Americans were not considered "White". That is the reason so many of our ancestors denied their heritage. And the reason so many of us can not get a handle on "from whence forth" our ancestors were from. Carmen McDaniel Forbes
