Burke to Matthias Pfifer for $320.25, 91 1/2 acres of Fourth Creek adj. MC KNIGHT, Henry Chambers and the heirs of Benjamin Wily. It was part of a Granville grant of JOHN KERR on 30 April 1753 as recorded in DB C:362 [03:362] and by him conveyed to Andrew Morrison [04:752]. Wit; John Niblock, Wilson Niblock. If you know of someone who lives in NC, they do not have to pay a special fee for out of staters and you might be able to send them to money to order the copy for you] James McKnight who lived in Rowan Co NC in 1818 was a hatter of Iredell Co NC. Old Rowan Co covered a lot of land so that area might have been part of old Rowan? DB 24, p 594 1817 William H. Kerr of Rowan Co and Reuben Emerson of Lincoln Co NC to Alexander McLean for $600 of Coddle Creek, adj McDaniel, Hugh Braly, Jamison, Woodside,, Leib, Hughes and McLean. It was a conveyance from James Kerr to these grantors. prvd. Hu Braly at Feb Ct 1818 DB 24, p 592 15 Nov 1808 James Kerr to William H. Kerr and Reuben Emerson for $600, 393 acres on Coddle Creek. It was a conveyance from David Kerr and wife Jane to this grantor. DB 24, page 340 17 Nov 1816. Samuel Renshaw to Martin Rendleman for $12.50 6 1/4 acres on Third Creek which was a conveyance from James Kerr to James Trott [16:500] who devised 50 acres of it to his wife Margaret [+] Renshaw who also signed the deed. Alexander McCorkle of Lincoln Co TN as Exr of Alexander McCorkle, dec'd, and Robert McCorkle of Rutherford Co NC as Exr. and heir of James Kerr, dec'd, to Alfred Kerr, exr and heir of James Kerr, dec'd of Iredell Co NC for $120.00, 20 Acres in Iredell and Rowan Counties on both sides of Withrows Crk adj. Alexander Cook and Cook's Mill Pond. Wit; David Gillespie Jr, Thomas Gillespie, Prvd by David Gillespie Jr, at Feb Ct 1818. Land conveyed by James Kerr and wife Margaret is mentioned DB 23, Aug Ct 1816 Mtg. DB 24, page 583 1816 John Trott and wife Nancy and Thomas H. Dent to John B. Todd and Thomas Todd for $92, 3 tracts on Grants Creek. Lot 1 that adj it was from Grantor Samuel Kerr, [this goes on with other owners, etc,] then; - John Todd Sr, to the heirs of John Todd Jr, dec'd ,which adj. Mrs. Kelly and Spruce McKay's heirs. John Trott and wife, Elizabeth, and from Samuel Kerr and wife Polly, dated 12 Jan 1816 as recorded in Rutherford Co TN,. Wit; Josiah Dent, Thos. Todd, Prvd by Thomas Todd and by John Monroe who certifies that Nancy Todd freely signed this deed. Prvd Feb Ct 1818. DB21 page 782 19 July, 1810. John Kerr to Peter Kerr for L:10, 100 acres on both sides of Cane [?] Creek. It was part of 270 acres conveyed by Henry E. McCulloh to this grantor on 6 Feb 1767 as registered in DB 7 at page 80. Wit: William Moore, A. Moore, Prvd by A. Moore at Nov Court, 1810. DB 20, page 234. Aug 1810. Samuel McNeely to Joseph Kerr for L10, 5 1/4 acres DB 20 page 103. 16 Jan 1809/ Wilson Kerr to Samuel Trott for $90. an undivided one third part of 260 acres on Third Creek adj Robert Lowrie and Thomas Liles. It was a state grant to Stephen Kerr [09:048] who died intestate. Wit; Henry Robison, Wm. Lowrie. Prvd by Lowrie. Feb Ct 1809.
