Joy: There has been a FAMILY TREE DNA on the Mulegons. My husband, a Forbes, participated. It also showed the Sephardic Jew, just like my father who is of the McDaniel line. My father's line was also "said" to have Cherokee heritage. My husband's line is proven to have Chotaw blood. The DNA study for the Mulegons that my husband participated is not complete. Neither is the McDonald/McDanel/McDaniel DNA that my father participated in. The DNA testing is really fascinating. I do not know if you saw the PBS special on the origin man. There are also DNA test going on in the rest of the world to find out from whence forth we came. The more participants they have in the test, the more the origins of man can be established. Unfortunately, they are not testing women. Our DNA is passed from mother to daughter. We are too "complicated" for their test. But then too we do have our father's genes.
