There is a family legend that Elizabeth was cast out for some reason and Sherrod married her and later her family became kinda well off and tried to contact her but she had died at that time. Where that come from I don't know. In tracing the family there were three Sherrods one B. 1776, one 1802 and one 1833. The one that married Elizabeth was 1802 and to my knowledge she was his only wife. There are many marriagesof McClures in the 1838-1880 do you have that book? Bill
