Grace, I can give you a little information on this one SAWYERS line. Gaylon M Sawyers was born February 2, 1832, TN. He died March 18, 1902, Mountain Springs community, Hill Co., TX. He is buried in the old Hillsboro Cemetery, Hill Co., TX. He married Sarah E Wakefield in January, 1855, Lincoln Co., TN. Gaylon was the son of George W Sawyers and Rebecca CUNNINGHAM. They married about 1825. He was born bet. 1805-1807 in GA.His parents had nine children and it appears they were all born in TN. The children were; Eliza, Louisa, Sarah, Gaylon M, Melissa, George W, James M, Rebecca, and John. I also show that George W married Eliza SMITH, September, 1847, in Lincoln Co., TN. George W was the son of David Sawyers, born 1772, and died in 1820, and his mother was Elizabeth PAXTON who was born 1773 and died 1821. The name was later changed to Sawyer about 1900-1930. Not sure of that date. I hope this has been helpful to you.
