and a lot of them settled in the Cherokee Land Tract in NW Arkansas - this was open for white settlement about 1835, and I know several families from LCT ended up in the southern section of Boone Co AR by about 1840.....it was free land, no one was there, and many of the families had one spouse with Indian blood..... such as my Gray line.
