Bill, Thank you for sharing the story on your Elizabeth MCCLURE, I really enjoyed reading it. I have a copy of several McClure marriages from the book "Early Middle Tennessee Marriages " the time frame it covers is 1838-1871 for Lincoln Co and 1838-1874 for Franklin County. So have you found your Elizabeth on census? And if so where were they living.? I have been trying to connect my line of McClures with the others in Lincoln and Franklin County. You can find my John MCCLURE age 63, on the 1850 census living in Lincoln County TN with his wife Artelissa age 49, also with the following children. John S. age 15, Frances G.age 16, Semantha J. age 14, George W. age 8. Census has that both John and his wife born in NC. John's son Frances G . is my line. He married Nancy ETHRIDGE.
