Bill, I have VINSONs in my line, too, located in IL. So far, I can't get back beyond about 1882, though, and that date is the spouse of unknown VINSON, Mary Magnolia FOSTER. Unknown VINSON and Mary Magnolia had three children, Verba, Virgil and George. Verba was born in 1904. The family came to IL from TN but nobody knows where in TN. Do you have them in your files?
