    3. thanks for the reminder. I was taught when learning computer programs that if you use capitals, other than as titles, that the person reading it, takes it as you are yelling at them.     3. You were taught correctly Nancy. In the computer world that is what all capital letters mean - - yelling or emphasizing. Those capitalized words just jump out there as if you are being yelled at. We genealogy geeks are a special group. When reading message boards, it is nice if certain words jump out at you. By capitalizing only the surnames it enables you to quickly scan for those of interest. What is normally considered a nuisance becomes a courtesy if used in the correct manner.
