Ruth, I have researched the Crane's of LCT but there are some that I have missed, those of later years. After looking at the 1910 LCT census this is what I believe about your Spart Asbury CRANE I believe Spart is the son of John R. CRANE and Susan ?. I only have info on this couple from the 1910 census but I do have much info from John on back 1910 LCT census dist 14 hh147-147 JOHN R. CRANE 46; marriage 1; married 25 years born in TN as where his parents, all of his children and wife as well; farmer SUSAN (wife) 43; marriage 1; married 25 years TIMOTHY (son) 19 marriage 1; 0 years SPART (son) 16 single MAGGIE (dau) 12 single DILLIE (dau) 7 ALEXANDER (son) 1 TRUDELLS (dau in law wife of above Timothy as noted by census taker) 17; marriage 1; 0 years JOHN R CRANE was the son of TIMOTHY WATSON RILEY CRANE 17 Aug 1848 LCT-25 Apr 1901 Moore CO., TN; Raby Cemetery & ELIZABETH BELL BEDWELL 27Feb 1840-13 Feb 1880 Moore CO., TN Raby Cemetery 1870 LCT census dist 5 hh 108-111 P/O Lynchburg T. W. CRANE 22 TN ELIZABETH 28 TN I. A. (son) 3 ILL J. R. (son) TN MARY BEDWELL 75 living with family TN M. E. THOMPSON (female) 17 TN Mary BEDWELL may be Elizabeth's mother, perhaps someone else can confirm this or not. I have been trying to prove one way or the other that the Crane's and Cone's of LCT are one in the same family. So far I have not been able to prove. Elizabeth WRIGHT b abt. 1819, TN married Wm B. CONE b abt 1816 NC on 11 Feb 1840 LCT. We WRIGHT researchers believe that WM. CONE was WM CRANE. I cannot help you on CARL CRANE but would be glad to share all other info that I have so far on the CRANE family. ALICE KING is also a puzzle to me. Looking at the 1920 census she is born in AL but on the 1930 it says TN. I have nothing on her.
