Hello: I'm hoping to find one bit of information for a biographical sketch of Benjamin Walker who lived in Lincoln County in 1841. I hope that someone can direct my search. Benjamin Walker inherited a plantation on which he was living in 1841 when his father, Samuel Walker of Madison County, AL died in that year. My question is if there is a recorded sale of this land that is abstracted in print somewhere...or does one have to request a courthouse search for individual deeds?
