Martha, Do you have any info on an Alexander Gray who d. in Lincoln Co around 1812, he was married to a Mary Warren....I am after any info on this Mary Warren Gray.....I think I found her in 1836 (Widow Gray) with lands bordering Dist 23 , 24 and Dist 25. What little I do know is that Alexander Gray was b. ca. 1777 in Halifax Co Va, and died in LC in 1812, Mary Warren Gray died around 1848. There were many Gray's in Lincoln Co by the 1836 (tax list)...living in or near Mary Gray was an Alexander, John and William....I think I find your Grays in Dist 7...listed here were John Gray w/241 acres, Jas H. Gray, Burgess Gray w/50 acres. I would really be interested in knowing anything on Mary Warren...siblings, parents???? Thanks Cindy
Cindy, I'm so new to this and the names you are looking for aren't very familiar to me, so I forwarded it to cousin Fletcher Gray in TX (trying to trace his line from Thomas Gray, who we think may be a brother to Burgess, John, etc.) I remember seeing references to Mary Gray and to Alexander Gray, and I think they were on a LCT census. I'll let you know if I find anything. Thanks for responding.
