    1. Re: [LCT] Andrew Newton Moore
    2. Thank you Vicki on the below info. I had Sarah buried in ND but had no place of death or burial for Andrew Newton or that he continued his ministry. Vicki, you may want to sent to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Archives in Nashville Andrew N. Moore's biography. I do not recall seeing it on their web site. Hebron church for a time. I have copies of some of those session minutes from the time he was there, thanks to Julia on this list. Andrew Newton and his family (wife Sarah Isabel Pylant) left Lincoln Co. and went to DeWitt Co. Illinois where he worked to establish new churches. He was pastor at the Rose Hill Presbyterian Church which was somewhere near Weldon. >From Illinois he went on to the frontier of North Dakota (I think in 1910) and again worked to establish churches there. He died there in September of 1910, but Sarah took a homestead near the burning coal mine in Slope County and lived there for some time. Other members of the family eventually came west to Oregon -- she came to Portland to live with her oldest daughter Estella, and died there October 3, 1927. Both Andrew Newton and Sarah Isabel are buried in the Bowman Cemetery in Bowman, North Dakota. Vicki Moore McCarty ----- Original Message ----- Fr >>
