    3. Hello Mary, When we get back behind the 1850 census records. Like to 1840 and beyond, it is really hard to find the names of all the family members. The best way I have been able to do it, is hope that the county that they died in will have a will and probate record for the person that was the head of the family. Most all of the ones I have located at the courthouse in the probate files have listings of their children and any other member that they wanted to have some of their property after .Jeanette McClure ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mary Stuart" <stuart@ortrackm.missouri.org> To: <TNLINCOL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, March 25, 2005 10:18 AM Subject: [LCT] Lincoln Co., TN., Turner's > Am trying to find info on Woodson Turner. Woodson is on the 1820 and 1830 census in Lincoln Co., TN. Living next door to him, on the 1820 census, is Wm. Wainwright, who married Nancy B. Turner abt. ?1825 in Lincoln Co., TN. > Would like to know ( or know where I can look for the info), who Woodson's parents, siblings and children were. I strongly believe that his parents were Pleasant Turner and Agnes Woodson. Pleasant and Agnes were married abt. 1781 in Goochland Co., VA. > I suspect (given the naming patterns of the 18th & 19th century), that Woodson is their son. Also believe that Nancy is their daughter. So if anyone can tell me where I can view a listing of the children of Pleasant and Agnes or has them in their database that they would share with me I would really appreciate it. > Thank you very much, > Mary > > > ==== TNLINCOL Mailing List ==== > The best index to Internet Genealogy is Cyndi's list http://www.cyndislist.com/ > > ============================== > Search Family and Local Histories for stories about your family and the > areas they lived.
