    3. I have this Moore in my database with no connections. She was born 1834 in TN, married to Sam ROBERTSON and had a daughter, Mary Dorcas b. Jan 6, 1851. She was living in Lauderdale county, AL. when her daughter was born and moved on to Van Zandt county Texas in about 1902, where she died Nov 5, 1924 and is buried in Howell cemetery. Does anyone have any further information on this lady? Her daughter, Mary Dorcas, was the second wife of William Hopkins BEDINGFIELD, son of Charles Henry BEDINGFIELD and frances Josephine HALBERT. Thressa My son hardly ever makes the same mistake twice, but he makes a new one at every opportunity! :-D Karen

    3. Well, on Ancestry.com it is very clear and spelled JOHN. I do not know. I will try to find him on 1850 and 1870 to verify this family is headed by a John.

    3. Thanks Ginny, The book I got my info on this family had this listed as Jessee. Looking at the census page, it looks like John, but I believe it is Jessee. Old script with 2 "s" was written that way. Thanks for your help, Robert L. Jackson ----- Original Message ----- From: "Virginia L. 3. Hello Ginny, You listed a John Moore married to Polly Moore. Was this supposed to be Jesse Moore? It is very possible the younger children listed are grandchildren. Jesse's sons were John, age 26, and Nathan, age 22, in 1860.(These ages are based on the 1850 census) Robert L. Jackson ----- Original Message ----- From: "Virginia L. 2. Robert Jackson
    3. I was trying to determine if this was a Moore, maybe Jonah.( Doesn't match what I have on Jonah though)(Too many children). If this is a Moore, they have children the right age for my Moore that I am looking for. I was looking at Alexander Forrester and trying to find the closest Moore families living around them. My J. F. Moore married Mary Matilda Forrester, daughter of Alexander. Jonah does not show up on the 1860 census. I found him in 1850, but by 1870 and 1880 he is in Van Buren Township, Madison County Indiana. The census I am viewing is at the Heritage Quest website. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Virginia L. 3. Joyce, The reason I asked about the MCAFEE name: I have in my data base Gaylon M SAWYERS married to Sarah E WAKEFIELD, January 7, 1855, Lincoln Co., TX. They left soon after their wedding and moved to TX, stopping first in Ellis Co.TX, where their first child was born. The Sawyers family stayed in Ellis Co about one year, then moved on into Hill Co., TX. (Their first child, Elizabeth A Sawyers was born December, 1857, in Ellis Co., TX.)She married Will Taylor McAfee in 1876. On the McAfee children I have they were born in TX and the year born. 1. ALSOBROOKS??
    2. I am wondering if anyone has every run across the following ALSOBROOKs (spellings vary) in Lincoln Co, TN from 1810-1840. I know that there were ALSOBROOKs in the 1820 and 1830 census enumeration for that county. I am wondering if there is any other info that can be found in county records, books etc, that might lead me to more info on these names. John ALLSOBROOKS was found in both 1820 & 1830 census enumerations. John ALLSOBROOKS, Jr was found in the 1820 and I had thought the 1830, but at this time can not find that census page or my notes. Wesley ALLSOBROOKS was found living near John, Jr in the 1820 census enumeration but was gone by then. I believe John Sr, to have gone on to Shelby Co, TN by 1840. Wesley was in MS and not sure which of the John's in TN are John, Jr. I thank you in advance for any info on these ALSOBROOKS or of others found in the area.

I am so thrilled, as this is the ONLY map I've seen that answers my question of where exactly in District 24 our David and Jane Wright owned their 180 acres. THANK YOU again! Norma
