I am looking for a death date and burial place for Michael Steele DENHAM and wife Catherine, formerly of Lincoln County. Michael DENHAM was born in Lincoln County in 1837 or 1838, and the last census record I found was for Poinsett County, AR in 1910. Michael DENHAM and family had apparently lived in that county since 1880.

Hi Jack, I show my John C. Carter as being born in 1844. Emmy (Unknown) Carter was found in Census from 1850 through 1870. 1850 & 1860 she was in Lincoln Co. and 1870 she is in Giles Co. In 1860 she is listed as a pauper and 1861 she is in the Poor House and is listed as "can not walk". That is about all of the information that I have. Carter who came to, I believe Lincoln County, from North Carolina and later settled in Tippah County Mississippi where he died in 1850.
