With the hereditatments and appertenances. To have and to hold said tract or parcel of alnd with its appertenances to the said WILLIAM STEWARD and his heirs forever. In witness whereof, JOSEPH MCMINN, Governor of the state of Tennesseeh hath hereunto set his hand, and caused the great seal of the state to be affixed, at MURFREESBOROUGH on the 10th day of September in the year of our LORD one thousand eight hundred and eighteen and of the Independence of the United States, the forty-third BY THE GOVERNOR JOSEPH MCMINN Daniel Graham Secretary Item 2 Deed Book "I" Pg 391 Lincoln County Tennessee Deeds 7th aPRIL 1832 - Deed from MARTHA PEGRAM, formerly MARTHA MCLEMON and guardian for the heirs of S.C.MCLEMON deceased to ANGUISH JOHNSON of same place for 27 acres of land in Lincoln County on the head waters of the little east fork of Norris Creek a branch of Elk River and granted WILLIAM STEWART and transferred to sundry persons, and sold to S.C.MCLEMON by Tyron Fi------, adjoining a beech tree marked in the presence of ISAAC CONGER, and on EDWARD'S line. Wit: JOHN LEWIS and MARK WHITAKER, Senr. Reg: 6th December 1832. This land is just south of the community of Mimosa in Lincoln Co. This is almost certainly the husband of PEGGY(Margaret) STEWARD,STUART who is living in this vicinity in the 1830 census of Lincoln Co. Tennessee. Sons were William and Calvin B. born in Mississippi in 1823 and 1825. The family moved to near Gibsonville, Giles Co. Tenn prior to 1845. All the known daughters married Hensons, son Calvin B. Stewart md. Mary Ann Henson in 1849, and William Stewart md.
