    2. Were they children of James Wise??? I thought perhaps they were children of David and Emily Smith Wise. Evidently my family fell into the "other" category. I would like to know about James Wise, if you have that information, Pat In a message dated 9/14/2006 12:52:26 P.M. 2. George Waller
    3. Hi all, Today the Lincoln Co list was switched over to a new email system at Rootsweb. We had no choice in this. One of the major differences is for Digest subscribers (digest means getting all of a day's emails in one big email rather than one by one.) Before, Digest subscribers recieved the digest in "MIME" format. Now they are receiving it in "text" format. In order to go back to the MIME format please write me and let me know. I can fix this on a case by case basis. Regards, George

    1. [TNLINCOL] 1836 muster in Fayetteville
    2. William Swiderski
    3. Since we have been discussing military service I was curious if anyone has seen a list of the LCT volunteers that mustered in Fayetteville on 1 July 1836. According to document # 34 generated by 25th Congress, second session, the House of Rep. called statewide for volunteers to serve from 1836 to 1837. Gov. Cannon directed that the men be raised " from either side of the Cumberland Plateau" with those from the west to muster in Fayetteville and those in the east to muster in Athens. The rolls I have from those musters only list the counties of Jackson, Overton, Anderson, Bedford, Warren, Rutherford, Sumner and Franklin. I was wondering where to find a list for Lincoln, any ideas? Michaele

    3. I wish we could get a list together also. Right now I'm just searching pension records, but maybe we could pull resources together to get a full listing and attach it to LCT website somehow. I don't know much about how that works. You probably have this info, but there is a Thomas Myers that drew pension from Lincoln County. He is on 1832 list age 72, served in NC mil for Rev. 1. [TNLINCOL] Help with site below
    2. In November, 2005, someone posted the information below to the Lincoln County List. I have lost my old mail and now when I try to access this site for a certain genealogy book they have I find that they have changed their web page. The book I found in their digitized books is "Moses Park" by Clara Cammack Park. This book was there and could be accessed page by page back in November but I cannot find it again. Would the person who sent this to the list still know how to access these digitized books? Thanks. Joyce Park Riggs This is the portion of the e-mail that I have as I had sent it to another researcher and they still had this much information. Family History Books: The LDS Family History Library has announced that it has begun the process of digitizing and making available on the Internet all of the Family History books in their collection. About 5000 books have been digitized and are available, and they have announced that they are adding about 100 titles a week to the on-line collection. Go to the web site of the Harold B. Lee Library at BYU, http://www.lib.byu.edu/ >From the list of collections that are displayed, choose: "Find Other Materials" "Electronic" "On Line Collections at BYU" Choose the TAB "Text Collections" And, finally, "Family History Archive"
