Hi, Just wanted to add a little to the questions about the Old City Cemetery. It definitely was bulldozed by some industrious person who thought they were helping clean it off. They did a great job - bushes, trees and most monuments all in a ditch! The Heritage Commission later restored the cemetery the best they could by just placing any markers that were not broken in too many pieces all in a row. So if you find your ancestor listed in this cemetery, where the marker is located may not necessarily be the exact spot they are buried.
