I have a surprise for all you Tucker researchers who have been researching the family of Burch also. An error made in the transcription of a marriage many years ago when the first marriage book was done lists Enoch Tucker as marrying Margaret Burch in 1849. The original marriage certificate has been lost or stolen many years ago, but while checking the actual microfilm in helping a researcher try to prove if this was really Burch, the following was found. Enoch Tucker married Margaret Rinck Sept. 13, 1849. The r is very plain in both the index and the actual record, especially the index. So all researchers who thought you were related to Margaret Burch, are now no longer descended from her! Kathy Niedergeses, Director Lawrence County Archives
