Hi, Since our Lawrence County Genealogical Society's year runs from Sept. 1 through Aug. 31 of the following year, I just wanted to remind all members that it is time to renew your membership unless you are a lifetime member or have paid more than a year or so in advance. Dues are still $10 for one year, $25 for one year sustaining member and $100 for lifetime member. Make the check or money order payable to Lawrence County Genealogical Society and mail to 218 N. Military Ave., Suite B-1, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464. The fourth quarter journal was mailed Monday and most people should have theirs by now. By placing a large notice in the journal concerning payment of dues and this post, we hope most members will renew without the expense of sending out renewal notices to everyone. If you are not sure if you are a lifetime member or have paid more than one year in advance, email me and I will gladly check for you. New members are always welcome. The society publishes a 38-40 page quarterly journal packed with family genealogies, pictures, original records (wills, births, etc.), genealogy and history book reviews, queries and much more.
