Hi, O.K. everyone, I am really beginning to get worried about the family history fair scheduled for Sat. June 23rd at the Lawrence County High School in Lawrenceburg. In the past by this time, we have always had about 20 tables reserved and many people emailing for info and directions to the fair. This year there has not been very much response. PLEASE, if you are planning to attend the fair or need to reserve a table to display your charts, family info, pictures, etc., email or call the society so we will know all our hard work is going to benefit researchers across the country. email - lcarchives@lorettotel.net Phone - 931-766-1576 Each year in the past, we have had from 100 to 150 in attendance with many people making connections with researchers working on the same family line they are. This is a great way to gain valuable information and pictures of your ancestor. For something new this year we have added the society's "How Do I..." table. At least one member of the society will be present at all times to offer suggestions to researchers who have hit a brick wall and advise those who are just beginning their search. We will also be able to help you on subjects such as how to get needed info from the Masons, TN vital records, census that have not been released, researching at the Lawrence County Archives, how to become a member of the DAR, trace Cherokee ancestry, and many other topics.
