Hi everyone, It will soon be time for the Lawrence County Genealogical Society's 4th Annual Family History Fair to be held Saturday, June 23, 2001, at the Lawrence County High School. The fair will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and admission is $1 per person. Each year we have had a tremendous turn out of people from all across the United States. The main purpose of this fair is to try to put families who are researching on the same surname in touch with each other so they can share info. Many people reserve tables and display their genealogy material, while many other people simply attend in hopes of finding a long lost relative - dead or alive. We also have several vendors; most are local, but some are from other counties and states. If you wish to reserve a table to display your charts, books, pictures, etc., or if you have books for sell, please email your name, address and a brief description of what you will be bringing. There is no charge for reserving a table, we just need to know how many tables to set up. A copy machine will be available for making copies. So, plan now to attend. Also, if you are willing to help with setup, take down or during the fair, please let me know. Even if you live out of state, you can still help for an hour or two.
