Hello list. Due to other historical research and writing I haven't been able to work on genealogy for a while but since I plan to get back to it eventually wanted to let folks know my research names. Include but not limited to: Killen, Springer, Richardson, Mitchell, Stutts, Powell, Poteet, Fulks, Pullen, Morrison, Garrison, Gray, Armstrong, Gresham, Swinney, Phillips, and others. Currently gathering info. on civilians and civilian activities in and around the TN Valley during the civil war. Presently editing a book on Southern civilians and the civilian homefront during the civil war. Should go to press end of 200l or early in 2002. Covers the entire South. Just finished compiling and editing "Repasts From The Past" - a historical cookbook. Recipes begin in l800 and cover l9th and 20th century - many not in print for over l00 years. Includes food history and preservation, foods eaten by civil war soldiers, includes household tips and articles from period newspapers, U.S. Sanitary Commission files, and magazines from the l850's and l860's.
