    1. [TNLake] Re: roll call
    2. Hi, my name is Nora Burcks Gragert. I am looking for any info I can get on the Woods that lived in the Lake County area. My grandmother, Butell Woods Stagner was born Sheep Ridge. A town that no longer exists. I believe it was located near Ridgely. I do know that she was born in Aug, 31, 1919 to James Roy Woods and Pearl Cox (unsure of maiden name) Butell died Dec, 1999 in Poplar Bluff, MO. Great Grandpa Woods was born May 29, 1890 and died Jan 30, 1972 in East Prairie, MO. Grandma Butell had 2 brothers and 7 sisters. Neil Lee Woods Birdie Lee Woods Ola Virginia Woods Ona Lee Woods Butel Woods Lorene Woods Alma Louis Woods Geraldine Woods James Roy Woods Jr. Haven't been able to make any connection to the area yet. The biggest thing I am trying to find is my great grandmother's family. I have been told that Pearl was the daughter or granddaughter of a full blooded Cherokee Indian. I have nothing else on Pearl, not even her birthdate. Thanks, Nora meema11@aol.com

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/GgB.2ACE/505.1 Message Board Post: I attended grammar school and finished the 9th grade (1963) in Ridgely, Lake Co. After viewing my 1963 yearbook, which has photos and names of all teachers, from 1st through 12 grades, I sincerely doubt that any of them could possible be the mother of this baby boy. (1) All of the teachers had taught the same grades for 15 to 20 years. (2) The ages of the majority of the women teachers were 40, 50, & 60. There were two women teachers of child bearing ages, but neither of them, in 1963, had children. I can send you the photos and names if you like. Another possibility is maybe she was a student. There were several of them who left Ridgely to attend other schools. I also have their names. Good Luck! Diane Gallagher bdgaligers@yahoo.com
