    1. [TNLake] Box and Newsom family line
    2. max bawcum
    3. Hi, I am researching the Box and Newsom family line. I would like to hear from anyone who is related or knows anything about any of them. My great great grandfather was Edward Box. He had seven sons. One son was James (Jim) B. Box who married Nancy Greenway in Decatur Co TN. They had three children. A Daughter and two sons. She took the two boys and left. Everyone thought she went somewhere down around there. He went down there also. On some research I found on a database where someone had him dying in Tiptonville, Tn. I can't find any proof. Any information would be appreciated. I am researching the Maxwells, Houstons and Bawcums, also. Thanks, Ima Bawcum

I did tell you where to go to find the names for the cemetery that some call the Cunningham Cemetery on the Bluff Road but my husband just informed me that there is a small cemetery on the road that is known as the Gratio Road. He said this is a very small cemetery and seems to be more like a family cemetery. I have passed this cemetery before but I have never stopped to check the names on the tombstones. Joyce

    1. [TNLake] My illusive Jones ancestors and kin...
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Jones, Knight, Matheny Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GgB.2ACE/529 Message Board Post: Does anyone out there have anything of my (3rd) great grandma Margaret Ann Knight Jones and her son, Henry E. Jones? In 1880 they are living in the same household in the 4th District of Lake County. Margaret was born about 1833 in Humphreys Co., TN. She was the widow of my 3rd gr-gf Willis S. Jones. Henry was their first child. He was born about 1853 in Hickman County, TN. Margaret and Henry lived next door to Margaret's daughter Elizabeth Aslee Jones Matheny. Elizabeth was born in 1860, also in Hickman Co., TN. Sometime about 1876 this group of my ancestors and kin migrated from the 8th District of Hickman Co., TN to the 4th District of Lake Co. (Henry's brother, my great-great gf William Thomas Joens settled in Obion Co. about the same time). After 1880 I have no more info about Margaret, what became of her? I believe Henry E. Jones, may be the Henry Jones listed in the 1891 Tax List for Lake County, in District 2. Does anyone out there have any additional information abou! t these folks? When did they die? Did they own any property? What were their occupations? Did Henry E. ever marry? Where would the 2nd and 4th disticts have been? Are they on the 1900 or later census? Any information is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Dave
