They married 1885 Obion Co, TN. 1880 & 1910 census gives Robert's birth age closer to 1859, but the cemetery transcription that my husband & I did for Burrus Chapel 5/2001 has it as 1862...... Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/GgB.2ACE/499.2 Message Board Post: Alexander Jimmerson was my great uncle. I have him on the 1880 census as an infant with his parents William Samuel, and Betty (Elizabeth) Ann Jones Jimmerson. He's on the 1900 with his mother and his sisters, Cordie ( my grandmother) and Pearl. I have a copy of the wedding license receipt for Alex and Jessie. The license or bond is dated 2-27-1905; the return says that the marriage was 2-28. I also found Alex and Jessie on the 1910 and a mention of an Alex Jimmerson who died in Alabama in 1930something but I can't find my records just now. I remember reading of children Alex Jr. and Apel. If this is helpful, e-mail me and I'll dig deeper for the rest of my info. Barbara

He died around 1909-1910 and they moved to Arkansas. She married a Hastings before leaving TN.(I think) My grandmother had a half brother about 4 years older than her and I do not know anything more about him or Bill Shaw. Maybe, someone will do a look-up for you since you have a time that they married (03-02-1912 ). Be easier for someone that might have time to do it that lives there in Dickson Co, TN.............That way you could rule that county out and figure something else out if it's not there...... I am sure you already know that Davis Hicks married Mary Morgan (Pearl's parents) 3/4/1877 according to LDS Family Search (www.familysearch.org) there in Dickson Co, TN.. 1. [TNLake] New Cemetery Book Available
    2. Leslie Moore
    3. Crockett's Chapel was not the earliest church to be established in Western Obion County, but it was the only one of six that survived through the years. This part of Obion County did not become Lake County until 1870. Crockett Chapel had its beginning in 1869. Many Pioneer Lake County families attended services there, and today their descendants can still be found. Graves dating back to the 1850's can be found in the cemetery as well as graves of soldiers from the War Between the States. Mrs. Algee has just published a book of this cemetery. You can view some excerpts from the book which show the depth of information that is contained in the book: http://web4.ecsis.net/~lmoore/TNGEN/Cemeteries/crockett%20chapel.html The book costs $15 plus postage and you can purchase it through the Lake County Historical Society or by contacting ialgee@bellsouth.net.
