Karen-- I would love a look up for Thomas Emmett Champion, approximate arrival in Tenn 1864 and later. He became an attorney in a law firm in Knoxville. We believe he died June 13,1873. He was born in New York in 1825, served as Brig Gen in Civil War. I found an index to his inventory at time of death was in Campbell County I would like to find this family and an address in Knoxville and who was with him. Think he had a son Charles, Hattie(who married the lawyer Anderson in1880), Fred E. born1854, Frank L born 1868, and George Byron birth unknown, death 1872. Believe Frank & George were born after he returned from the Civil War and went to Tenn.( When he served in the War he served as President of Military Commisssion in Nashville before moving to Knoxville at the end of the war.) He is buried in Old Grey Cemetery in Knoxville. Havent been able to find birth or death certificate, or where the kids were born for sure. The census may be a starting point. Thanks Ann
