    3. Hi y'all..... We've added a few new items at the Knox Co., TNGenWeb site --stop by and check it out! http://www.wdbj.net/~tnknox/updates/index.html 1). Did your kin serve on the old Knoxville Police or Fire Departments? If so, we have two neat old yearbooks for you! a). Knoxville Fire & Police Departments - 1900. This yearbook includes rosters of current (as of June, 1900) officers in both departments, as well as GREAT historical sketches about early law enforcement and fire fighting in Knoxville! There's even a short paragraph about the role of the Police Matron (sounds like an early social worker!) b). Knoxville Fire Department Yearbook for 1951-1952. The Fire Dept. historical sketch continues, as well as a listing of all current AND deceased fire dept. members. **If anyone can find an available Police Yearbook for this same time period, I'd love to get it online, too ** 2). We've added another church yearbook -- Fourth Presbyterian Church, Knoxville (1928). This little book includes history of the church (organized in 1886) as well as a listing of all communicants with addresses. 3). Two more school annuals are online -- Rule High School, Knoxville (1945) and Karns High School, Knox Co. (1945). The Rule annual covers grades 7-12, while the Karns annual extends from grades 1-12. Also - the Karns annual gives the names and addresses for parents of Juniors and Seniors (which may come in handy once we get to see the 1930 census ;-)). Come by and visit with us!
