Hi y'all.... I'm pleased to announce the first installment of excerpts from "100th Anniversary of the Tennessee School for the Deaf 1845-1945" http://www.wdbj.net/~tnknox/schools/tsd/index.html At this point, we have the "History of the School", "History of the Negro Department", as well as lists of teachers, matrons, and the 2,803 pupils that were enrolled in the school from its opening in 1845 through the 1944-5 school year. Each pupil roster includes the year(s), the pupil's name, community and TN county (otherwise covers community, state for those outside TN). A link back to the county selection page at TNGenWeb is included, so our researchers can "read up" on their particular counties ;-) http://www.wdbj.net/~tnknox/schools/tsd/students.htm Likewise, there's a link on the "Summary by Counties" page: http://www.wdbj.net/~tnknox/schools/tsd/enrollment.htm Please "kick the tires" and let us know what you think. I hope this is helpful to everyone.... Rose-Anne Co-host, Knox County, TNGenWeb
