    3. What does it matter? You know she was married to your father. The world is very sexist and many women don't even use a husband's surname anymore. I think it is wonderful for a woman to keep her birth surname---after all, the tradition of taking a husband's surname comes from the idea that she was his property. -----Original Message----- From: DRice78942@aol.com [mailto:DRice78942@aol.com] Sent: Sunday, February 03, 2002 1:54 PM To: TNKNOX-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [TN-KNOX] Re. Can any one answer this??????? My Mother resently died. At the time of her death, she was divorced from my father. He had remarried and is now buried beside his second wife. Mother took her maiden name back. They were married 30 years and there were five of us childen from their marriage. The QUESTION is should their be any thing on her head stone stating that she was ever married to my father????? I have never seen anything like this before or even heard of it.
