On the subject of early Knox. Tax Lists, once I found some lists from the era of 1826-1831 of Knox Co. I hurriedly wrote down the entries for my Holmes family, not bothering to note the source, or anything else. I have come to regret that, of course. Today I would like to know the other names on the lists. All I noted were the Holmes names in the company of Capt. Low, and the company of Capt. Gounds (probably Goins, or Goings).
