Greetings Seekers, Hi there, Marcus Hill. I'm new to this list and seek a bit of help. I am trying to connect my GGgranpa, Benjiman English HILL, with James HILL. I have good reason to suspect that James is Benjiman's father but have found no documentation to back it up. I know that Benjiman lived in Jefferson & Hamblen county (from census), that part of the one that became part of the other. (? make sense). What I'm looking for is some document or reference to one that will state that Benjiman is the son of James HILL & Parmelia (nee ENGLISH). James died in Tennessee about 1850, prior to the census of that year. Parmelia moved back to Cumberland County Kentucky soon after. I suspect that James (& his family) was in Hamblen/Jefferson county (which came first?) when he died. Benjiman was evidently living on his own some where else (haven't found him anywhere in the 1850 census as yet). I would really appreciate any help on this search.
