Samuel RIGGS was a Revolutionary War Soldier. His (FIRST) application for Pension is shown below in the highlighted HTML. He applied as an enlisted man in 1834 while under the false impression that only Regular Officers could apply for a pension and Militia officers were ineligible. He filled for an upgrade in his pension to that of a Lieutenant at age 85 in 1845 in Hawkins Co, TN. Bobby G.
