Hi Bridgett, Thanks for being our List Admin . I live in South Dakota and have been trying to trace my ggrandfather's parents . My ggrandfather's name was Andrew Jackson Crow b. January 5, 1837., Jefferson County, TN. We know he had a brother William and a brother John. There were other siblings but names not sure of. We are having problems finding names of their parents. The story passed down through the years is that Andrews mother died shortly after his birth . I do know that his one brother was married in Grainger Co. I have searched the census and the only names I found for 1840 on Crow (it only listed head of household) was Russel and James. Perhaps they had moved by 1840. I had someone that was researching the surname Chaney told me a Rosanna Chaney married a James Crow in Jefferson County but I cant find anything to be sure which Crow could be my gggrandparents.
