Searching for burial site of Edward RIGGS [1720--1820] who died in Jefferson Co, TN. Edward was a wealthy landholder in East Tennessee from NC Land Warrants for Edwards Rev War Service as a Captain in Surry Co, NC Militia. Edward had three land WARRANTS in 1787 in then Green Co, TN as follows: #428 for 1000 acres on South side of Holston River adjoining Gidion MORRIS, Joseph GILBREATH, Swelten's Creek. #502 for 445 acres between French Broad and Holdston Rivers. #660 for 200 acres on South side of Holston River on Dry Fork. All my information points to the following children of Edward RIGGS and Jane BUCKLEY: Reuben; Samuel; Sarah; Clisbe, Jesse and Elizabeth. Any help on this will be appreciated. If Edward RIGGS burial site could be located, it would be nice to get a Veterans Administration Marker to place on his grave to commemorate his Rev War Service. Bobby G. Carwile
