    3. Hello, Gayle - could it be that my James Perry Johnson was married twice? Or there were two James Johnsons in Jefferson Co.? I got my information from my husband's grandmother, Katie Belle Johnson Sanders, who lived with us for a while and from information on the Ford line. Here's what I have: Thomas Johnson Andrew Johnson David Johnson - b. 17 Apr 1759 VA; m. Isabela Cooley Jonathan Johnson - b. 2 Jul 1790 Surry Co., NC, d. 4 Feb 1865 Knox Co., TN; m. Martha Hines - b. 1797 Knox Co., TN, d.1878 Sevier Co., TN Robert Bright Johnson - b. 21 Dec 1831, d. 11 Dec 1886; m. Harriet King James Perry Johnson- b. 22 Dec 1848 Knox Co., TN, d. 2 Feb 1927 Jefferson Co., TN; m. Naomi Ford - b.1 Sep 1846, d. 5 Mar 1907 Katie Belle Johnson - b. 4 Jul 1884 Knox Co., TN, d. 8 Nov 1978 Guilford Co., NC; m. Thomas Alexander Sanders - b. 3 Oct 1880, Jefferson Co., TN, d. 25 Feb 1934, Memphis, TN. They lived in Jefferson Co., TN; he worked for the railroad, and was in Memphis when he died. They were my husband's grandparents.
