I have been trying to find Wm. O? Snyder with a daughter, Maria Catharine Charlotte b. June 1820, another daug. Emaline Clarissa b. 1822 at Strawberry Plains, Jefferson Cty. I believe a son, Philemon b. 1812 in Lincolnton, Lincoln Cty, NC. All were baptised by a Rev. P.? HENCKLE. Maria married George Mark Long and their children were born in Granger Co, TN and their youngest daug. Rebecca (my grandmother) married Henry Harrison Moore in southeast MO. I believe the Longs moved to MO while she was young. I have not been able to trace Wm Snyder nor Geo. Long families but your name being Moore caught my eye and the name Hinkle even though it is a different spelling. Do you have any suggestions on looking up info. from this "Strawberry Plains" area? Sorry I couldn't give you help with your names but really wonder if out side chance your Hinkle family had a minister. Linda
