I just did a google search for Talbott. The Talbott post office is in Hamblen Co., but the Talbott websites say it's in Jefferson. My relative who lived in Talbott lived in Jefferson Co. Of course, before 1870 that whole area would have been Jefferson. Censuswise, Hamblen only appeared in 1880. One must be careful with Post Office addresses. My address is a city in VA; I live in the neighboring county. Bill
