Joe, My Ellisons were from Rutherford Co., N.C. Lucinda Ellison b. ca. 1792 married Joseph Holbert in 1812 and they moved first to Blount Co., TN. then he died and she moved the family to Jefferson Co., TN. Lucinda Ellison was the daughter of John Ellison & wife ??? Hall. In his Will (Rutherford Co., N.C.) he mentions sons William, John Jr. & Jonathan and several daughters Judah Pack, Deilah Newman, Sarah Pack, Nancy Pack, Lucinda (Lucy) Halbird (Holbert) and he had one step-son Moses Hall. You might check that county for your Ellisons. Mine also spelled their name Allison. I checked some books I have on Jefferson Co., TN. and I can't find any McFaul in them. "Families of Jefferson Co., TN" and a Two Volume set of Cemetery Books.
