Hello. I am researching the Civil War regiment 4th Tennessee Cavalry (Union), and am slowly adding regiments to my website. Today I completed transcribing Company G, and in that company there were a great many men from Jefferson County. (I will eventually be adding this pension data for all the companies). As was usually the case, there are several groups of siblings or cousins, and I also noted when looking at the 1850 and 1860 census records that many of these families lived near each other.
