Hi my name is Betty Newman my husband Charles was born in Jefferson Co. TN. His great grand father Was Joseph B. Newman he married Abigail Ailed. Her father was a Jacob Ailed I found them in a 1850 Census 0f Jefferson Co. He was 60 which would have made him being born in 1790. Abigail was 14 at the time. Joseph Newman and Abigail Ailey they had three Children Alfred Napoleon, Henry and Matisha she also married an Ailey His name was William Ailey . Alfred Napoleon is my husbands grandfather he and his brother Married Bettis girls. I know that Abigail Ailey Newman and Alfred his wife Catherine (Kate Bettis ) are burried in Ailey Chapel Cemetery their are several more Aileys burried there. I need help in finding Joseph Newman's Parents and brothers and sisters. His dads name was either William or Al Newman. I found Joseph listed with a Al Newman in Some Latter Day Saints records. I also found Him with the same brothers and sisters with a William Newmanthe woman that was listed was too young to be his mother her name was Malinda.
