Craig - I am looking for the name of the husband of Lydia Davidson who was a Clark. She was disowned by the Quakers in Jefferson Co, TN for marrying out of the discipline to a Clark in 1799. My gggggrandfather, William Davidson, was born in Jan 1801. He married in Jefferson Co, TN in 1819 and on his marriage license and bond is listed as William Davidson alias Clark. I was told by a man in the genealogical Library there that Individuals were known by the last name of the farm that they lived on. So I'm thinking that he was a nephew of Lydia Davidson Clark and lived with that family or he was an orphan who was living there and working.
