I am searching for information on the ancestors of James Hiram Ray. I know he was born in Strawberry Plains (Jefferson, Co.) on Feb 5, 1858 to Daniel & Rachel Ray. This is from family information. Daniel & his family are listed in the 1860 census of Grainger County on page 245 and include James and his brother Joseph. I have reason to believe his father was Amos, but I only have census records to go on. Any information you might have to help me would be appreciated. Thanks. Clint Ray
