Hello Jefferson County Listers.............. First time lister here, looking for Frederick H. White. The 1850 Jefferson Co. Census lists: Frederick WHITE, age 7 years, born Tn. that was living in the household of Marvin ARNET. My Frederick H. WHITE was also age 7 years in 1850, also born in Tennessee. Just wondering in any of you folks are doing any research on the ARNET family? I'd really like to hear from anyone who might be able to shed any glimmer of light on the ARNET household! Thanks for reading, Freddie B. Stewart
Does anyone have a phone number for the Dandridge Library, or an e-mail address would be even better, if they have one? Thanks! -- Janice Neagle, PHR Human Resource Director Cowley County Community College

That would be a great idea! I know that $53 isn't much to some people, but for some that is a big purchase. I am considering purchase of this book, but before I do I was wondering if I could see a Table of Contents, or some indication that there were some Lamar families included. Looking for info on early Jefferson Co Curry family: 1. Husband of Nancy Curry (1830 and 1840 censuses). Could this be found in the Dumplin Baptist Church records? 2. Burial site of Claude Curry (1882-1915), oldest son of John C and Zena Curry. He died in NM but body was returned to TN by train at the request of his parents. Would love to hear from anyone researching this family. Elaine
Re: Janice Neagle's request for book title and location: You can purchase the "Jefferson County Tennessee Families and History 1792-1996" from the Jefferson County Genealogical Society. The last price (Summer 2002) I have for the hard copy edition was $52.50 (picked up) or $56.50 shipped. Their address is JCGS, P. O. Box 267, Jefferson City, TN 37760-0267. I purchased my copy at the Archives at the Court House in Dandridge. (Sorry, I don't have their phone number handy.) I'm not sure about the title of the book you mentioned, but I think the missing word is "First." Hope this helps - Mary
I received some information from Dandridge Memorial Library yesterday (If anyone is "listening" from there - thank you very much!!!!), and when it was copied it cut off part of the title of a book. What I have is: "The ...Families of East Tenessee, 1995". Can someone tell me what is missing in the title and where I might find a copy of this book. Also, can someone tell me where to find the book, "Jefferson County Tennessee Famlies and History 1792-1996"? Thank you!! -- Janice Neagle, PHR Human Resource Director Cowley County Community College
