In the Humphreys County Heritage Book it says that these Revolutionary Veterans lived in Humphreys County .Benjamin Brevard, Robert Brown, Henry Burton, David Childers, James Cooley (Coleu), Abraham Davidson, George Davidson, Samuel Dunlap, Alexander Anderson, William Gibson, Isaac Hale, James Hemilton, Thomas Hamilton, Bailey Hooper, Stephan Jackson, Moses Hitchcock, Albsalom Knight, Tommy Lankford, Thomas McGee, John Sarrett, Simon Steptoe. John Swindle, Josiah Puckett, Samuel Wadkins, Christopher Waggoner, and Sylvestor Adams. My ancestor was Stephen Jackson and I really don't think he was ever in Tennessee. He is on the 1800 census in Anson County NC . I think it was his son Able who came into Stewart County before 1813 and not Stephen. If anyone is doing John Sarrett genealogy -- I found a note that John Jackson and a Sarrett where living on the land that became Camden. Would be interested in hearing more about him.
