Hi, I'm a descendant of George Turner, son of Elder John Turner, and also Anderson White who was from Humphrey Co., can you tell me what or if there is anything on them in the Humphreys County Heritage Books which is being reprinted? I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July! My son was married on the 2nd of July and I am so glad it is over. Now I hope I will have a few minutes for myself and some genealogy. Just wanted to remind/inform everyone that the Historical Society is working on a reprint of the first volume of the Humphreys County Heritage Books. This book was first printed in 1979 and it is one of my most treasured possessions...especially if you knew what I paid for it. The reprint price is much less!! :) The Historical Society must have orders for 200 copies before the printer will print it. So, if you have been waiting to order, please write to Margaret Whitfield and order your copy. Please note, I have no hidden reason for recommending this book other than I think it is wonderful and I know you will enjoy owning it if you have Humphreys County roots, as I do. It was sooo exciting to read about my Horners and McKeels! There are photos, too so don't miss out. Happy Weekend! Alisa PS: Please pass the word! Thanks!
