Does anyone know if Martha Anderson, b. 1830, daughter of Timothy and Elizabeth Sloan Anderson, and Margaret Jane Anderson, b.1822, parents not known are sisters. The names and dates suggest the possibility. Margaret's middle name Jane, and the fact that she named a daughter Martha, and another Mary J. (Jane?). Martha's mother was Jane. Martha married Lewis Carter when she was 17, and Margaret married David D. Cooley at the age of 15. David Cooley and Lewis Carter were 1st cousins. The same two Tennessee Counties are mentioned in both families. Can anyone help with this ?
